Внимание!!! Тестирование в этом году состоится 29 сентября в 10.00 в СШ№41 (квартал Ленинского комсомола).

Все школьники, участвующие в тестировании ОБЯЗАТЕЛЬНО ДОЛЖНЫ ИМЕТЬ ПРИ СЕБЕследующие документы:

- паспорт или оригинал свидетельства о рождении

- одна фотография 3*4, сделанная в последнее время

- ручка

FLEX Testing page

FLEX Program is free and open for everyone willing to take part. In order to take part in testing in 2012, participants have to meet the following criterias:

- Date of birth: 01.01.1996 - 15.07.1998

- To be a student of the 8th ,9th or 10th grade

- To learn English

- to be a citizen of Ukraine

- To meet J1 visa requirements.

For the testing you will need:

- Birth certificate (original);

- signed by a participant and one of the parents Privacy Policy Agreement. Each participant should print out 2 copies of this document, sign it and bring to the testing.

N.B.! Students without this document will not be allowed to participate!;

- photo 3x4 (2012);

- a pen.

Instructions on how to fill out Privacy Policy Agreement

Applicants are advised to test in the Testing Center nearest to their place of residence.If applicants miss the testing date in the nearest Testing Center, they may test in any remaining Testing Center.

N.B. Applicants who test in two Testing Centers will be disqualified!

Програма FLEX є безкоштовною та відкритою для всіх бажаючих. Для того, щоб взяти участь у тестуванні у 2011 році, учасники мають відповідати наступним критеріям:

Дата народження з 01.01.1995 по 15.07.1997;
Навчатися в 8, 9 або 10 класі школи;
Вивчати англійську мову;
Українське громадянство;
Конкурсант не мав перебувати у США більш ніж три місяці впродовж останніх п'яти років.

Що необхідно мати при собі для участі у конкурсі:

оригінал свідоцтва про народження;
підписану учасником та одним з батьків "Згоду на обробку персональних даних" (для завантаження документа натисніть на лінк). Вам необхідно роздрукувати цей документ у двох примірниках, підписати та принести на тестування. УВАГА! Школярі, які не матимуть цього документа у день проведення конкурсу до тестування допущені не будуть!;
фотокартку 3 х 4 (2011 року);
ручку.

Інструкція по заповненню "Згоди на обробку персональних даних"

Ми радимо кандидатам проходити тестування у тест центрі що є найближчим до їх місця проживання. Якщо кандидати пропустили дату тестування у найближчому тест-центрі, вони можуть пройти тестування у будь-якому тест-центрі, що залишається. Апліканти, що спробують пройти тестування у більш ніж одному тест-центрі, будуть дискваліфіковані!

European Youth Parliament - another great opportunity for youth!

heyy! it has been a while since my last posting here, but would like to introduce European Youth Parliament to you after I've experienced it myself of course!

The EYP represents a non-partisan and independent educational project which is tailored specifically to the needs of the young European citizen.

The EYP encourages independent thinking and socio-political initiative in young people and facilitates the learning of

crucial social and professional skills. Since its inauguration, many tens of thousands of young people have taken part in regional, national and international sessions, formed friendships and made international contacts across and beyond borders. The EYP has thus made a vital contribution towards uniting Europe.

Today the EYP is one of the largest European platforms for political debate, intercultural encounters, political educational work and the exchange of ideas among young people in Europe. The EYP consists of a network of 35 European associations and organisations in which thousands of young people are active in a voluntary capacity.

The EYP is a programme of the Schwarzkopf Foundation.

Testing in Lugansk

Dear FLEX Alumni!

We are excited to announce testing for the 2011-2012 Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) in Lugansk. This is the nineteenth year the FLEX Program will be conducted in the countries of Eurasia. Round 1 testing will begin in Lugansk at School #36, kv. Zhukova, 3, on Saturday, September 25th at 10:00 a.m.

We also invite you to join us for a short general alumni meeting the evening before testing in Lugansk. We will meet at school #36 on Friday, September 24th at 5:00 p.m. and then go out for pizza. At the informal meeting you will get to know fellow alumni better, learn about recent alumni activities, and how you can help us with the testing procedure in Lugansk Saturday and Sunday.

Experience has shown that word-of-mouth is the most effective way of advertising for the FLEX program. So we are asking you to help us share information about the program in your hometown.

Please remember that students with disabilities are encouraged to apply (age and grade requirements vary for physically challenged candidates).

To participate in this year's program, students must:

-- Study in the 8th, 9th or 10th grade
-- Have been born from January 1, 1994 to July 15, 1996

Candidates must bring with them to testing:

1. An original birth certificate or passport
2. A recent 3X4 cm photograph
3. A pen

If you are unable to attend the meeting on Friday and are able to help us with testing, please come to School No. 36 on Saturday morning at 9:30AM. We look forward to seeing you in Lugansk!

В общем-то птичка на крыльях принесла, что финалисты на этот год уже известны и людям звонят приглашают на предвыездную ориентацию (PDO) в Киев. Оно-то и в правду, пора б уже! Поздравляю всех, кто прошел! Сильно не шалите на PDO, иногда это заканчивается печально!) Кажется веселье начинается.. xD

GOING TO THE ORPHANAGE

During two weeks, on Fridays, FLEX Alumni of Luhansk and their friend have been going to the local orphanage № 1. The main purpose of coming there was playing with the kids and preparing the drawings for an exhibition that is planned to be held in Kharkiv.

In total there were 6 children of 8 and 12 years old. Coming to the place made the FLEXers smile all the time, as they so how happy children started to feel knowing that they are needed.
The main topic of drawings was Spring, which children liked a lot. They have used all their imagination along with pencils, markers, stickers and other supplies to create the real new world on paper!

FLEX MOVIE NIGHT

Prepared for the Global Youth Service Day FLEX Alumni in Luhansk have met to discuss some issues. It has been decided to do a campaign of handing out paper with information about environmental protection in schools and universities. As well, during the movie night, one of the films on the agenda was An inconvenient Truth, that was concerning the problems of global warming. Really concerned about the problem, FLEX kids have decided to start acting.

The total of 5 Alumni present at the movie night is of course not enough. However, all of us have already informed the other FLEX kids about our plans and ideas. And most of them agreed to make it all happen.
